Fun class outings
The secondary school year has started again! We organize class outings with proper distance. Come to the beach and experience it! It’s a big puzzle for most schools, with a limited number of students per room. On the other hand, team sports are allowed again. Do it by the sea, outdoors! Social-emotional well-being is the foundation for functioning and performing well. It’s high time for some sports and fun...
We are happy to offer your students a well-organized, sporty, and social program! Two former teachers on the Beleving aan Zee team have created 3 programs. The goal of these programs is to allow students to experience fun and socializing through organized active social interaction.
Program 1 - Weekly Sports Orientation Program for Class Outing
In this program, the students follow a series of 5 lessons on the beach where they engage with various challenging outdoor sports. Options include Powerkiting, Disc Golf, Archery Tag, and Beach Volleyball. This program offers multiple classes the opportunity to participate in outdoor sports in separate bubbles. There is also the option to have classes split and participate one after the other when this fits within the regular school schedule.
Program 2 - Expedition Scheveningen Class Outing (Duration: 3 hours)
A connecting morning or afternoon on the beach? The Expedition Scheveningen activity consists of various sporty and challenging trials. From a puzzle course with many riddles to a thrilling relay race with various obstacles! There are also challenges with water, making fire, or building a giant catapult. The students will rotate through the different trials depending on their bubble. Each trial requires different skills and qualities. The students will get to know each other (again)! Who is fast and agile? Who has an elephant memory? And who has spatial awareness? Due to its variety, this game is perfect for reconnecting students and, most importantly, having lots of fun together!
Program 3 - Fun Games Class Outing (Duration: 3 hours)
We set up 3 or more complete games for your group, depending on the total group size (minimum 30 and maximum 120 students). The games can, by arrangement, be held either on the beach or nearby the school. Each game is guided by an instructor from Beleving aan Zee. You can choose from the activities below. A lot of fun is guaranteed, and thanks to the variety of different components, there’s something for everyone!
- Archery Tag
- Beach Volleyball
- Powerkiting
- Team Games
- Disc Golf
- XL Sand Sculptures
Option
One of the involved instructors at Beleving aan Zee is Marjet Dijkstra. We would like to offer you the opportunity to book Marjet. If you choose this option, we will incorporate a moment within the Beleving aan Zee program where she conducts short interviews with the students and uses brief exercises to assess their socio-emotional well-being. How did the students experience the COVID-19 period? How do they feel? Where are the gaps? What would help the students? A report of these conversations will be shared with you. Marjet is available for 30 euros per hour.
Costs
Depending on the chosen program and the number of participating classes and students, the price will be determined. For example, if you wish to bring 30 classes over 2 weeks, the price will differ from having 1 group attend for one morning.
To give you an indication:
Example 1
The price for a group of 30 students for a 3-hour program is €12.50 per person, including VAT.
Example 2
The price for a group of 450 students for a 3-hour program, spread over 3 days and 6 sessions, is €7.50 per person, including VAT.
How does the class outing work?
The students come to the beach on their own, gathering at pre-agreed locations. The teachers will be informed via a coordinator from the school about the program's details upon arrival and during the program participation. The existing "bubbles" form the basis, in consultation with you. For each group, one teacher from the school will remain involved throughout the program. The instructors from Beleving aan Zee will take over the content. Teachers stay present to monitor behavior – either from the sidelines or by actively engaging in the game. This is also a good moment for a teacher to observe the students. These are unusual times, and if any unusual behavior is noticed during this occasion, it may be helpful for personal guidance. After the activities, the students leave with a big smile, feeling satisfied, and ride home on their bikes!
